Can you hear me?<\/strong> <\/em>at the <a href=\"https:\/\/libwww.freelibrary.org\/programs\/onebook\/\">One Book, One Philadelphia 2020<\/a> where over 100 events and programs will center on Tommy Orange&#8217;s award-winning novel, <em><strong>There There<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Duration: February &#8211; March 2020 <br>Dates: TBA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em><strong>There There<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;explores how historical Indigenous erasure\u2014the deliberate and systematic destruction of cultures and violent displacement of peoples\u2014continues today. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Counter Narrative Society (CNS) and collaborators will lead a workshop series that explores the history and impacts of erasure here in Philadelphia. Dialogues will center the lived, hyper-present experiences of Lenni-Lenape today\u2014whose traditional homeland is where Philadelphia now stands\u2014as well as the experiences of Taino (Indigenous Caribbean) and other Native communities living in the region.
